Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Zozobra is getting a high-tech upgrade for his 101st burning. For the first time, the iconic figure will feature robotic hand movements. The design team, led by Isaac Varela, is adding a steampunk-inspired structure to enhance Zozobra’s gestures. Sensors in the glove will allow Zozobra to wave, point, and even make a fist—adding a new layer of expression to the annual tradition.
