Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Significant flooding in Vado, south of Las Cruces, has led to emergency evacuations. Officials say more than 600 homes were impacted after over two inches of rain fell Tuesday. Residents are being directed to the Vado Community Center for shelter. Emergency crews are assisting with rescues and medical transport. The county has activated its Emergency Operations Center and is urging residents to avoid flooded areas and report damage online.
