Floodwaters impacted parts of the Mescalero Apache Reservation on Monday, prompting road closures and early evacuation warnings.
The Mescalero Apache Tribe issued a notice to residents Monday afternoon, placing the Broken Arrow community on “Ready” status in case evacuations became necessary.
Several roads were closed due to flowing floodwaters, including:
- Mimbres Drive
- Chiricahua Plaza
- Mescalero Boulevard in front of the Tribal Office
Residents are urged to use caution and avoid flooded areas. Emergency crews are monitoring conditions and will provide updates as needed.
