ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A 20-inch water line break has forced the closure of Mountain Road NW between 8th Street and 12th Street as of Wednesday, July 9, according to the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority.
Crews are currently working to isolate the break and assess the extent of the damage. As a result, some nearby residents and businesses may experience temporary water outages while the situation is evaluated.
At this time, there is no estimate for how long the road will remain closed or how long repairs will take. Officials say more information will be provided as it becomes available.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
