Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions is investing $500,000 in the Northern New Mexico Youth Fund to expand job training for underserved youth. The funding will support programs in renewable energy, grid modernization, and climate resilience. It’s the first public investment in the fund, which now totals $1.6 million. The initiative targets youth ages 13 to 29, especially those facing systemic barriers. Grant recipients will be announced later this month.
