Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Santa Fe City Council voted late Tuesday to end its lease with Interfaith Community Shelter, known as Pete’s Place. The city plans to bring in Urban Alchemy, a national nonprofit, under a one-year, $1.5 million contract. The decision follows concerns over public safety, with more than 1,900 emergency calls near the shelter this year. Supporters of Interfaith protested the change, citing its 15-year history of service.
