Cartel enforcer implicated in Albuquerque homicides

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Tuesday, 31 year old American citizen Jaime Renteria Fernandez, was handed over to U.S. authorities by Mexican police at the El Paso border crossing. Homeland Security Investigations described Renteria as a “drug trafficker and cartel enforcer directly implicated in multiple homicides” in the Albuquerque area. An organized crime police unit in the state of Chihuahua apprehended Renteria and expelled him from Mexico. He made an initial appearance in U.S. District Court Wednesday, on various federal charges.
