Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) -An Albuquerque police officer has been arrested following a serious hit-and-run crash. 29-year-old Ezekiel Florez was booked for leaving the scene of an accident Thursday night when a pedestrian was critically injured at Central and Coors. Investigators say Florez struck a man in a crosswalk on his motorcycle at a high rate of speed, causing major head injuries. The motorcycle did not stop after the collision. The rider and his female passenger returned to the scene hours later and were detained. Both are APD officers. Florez was arrested and the woman is not facing charges.
