Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Bridge of the Americas in El Paso intercepted a drug smuggling attempt early Sunday. A 47-year-old U.S. citizen was found carrying powdered fentanyl and fentanyl pills concealed internally, along with methamphetamine in a travel bag. The man was flagged by a drug-sniffing dog and later passed three bundles at a medical facility. He now faces federal charges.
