Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A man threw a small dog at an officer before fleeing and briefly holding a woman hostage. The incident began when officers approached him for trespassing at a gas station. During the encounter, 41-year-old Bobby Chavez, threw the dog at the officer and ran. He then entered a nearby apartment, holding the resident against her will. The woman managed to escape and tell police. Chavez faces additional charges, including false imprisonment and battery upon a peace officer. The officer involved is unharmed, but the dog was not found after the chase.
