Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — It was a special Cinco de Mayo for the City of Albuquerque as Mayor Tim Keller renewed the sister city agreement with Chihuahua, Mexico. The relationship that began in 1970 was signed for renewal at the Mexican Consulate Monday. Mayor Keller says Albuquerque has modeled its own Real Time Crime Center from the one in its sister city. That includes use of shot-spotters and license plate readers. In return, Albuquerque provides Chihuahua with firefighting equipment and training.
