Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Democratic Party of New Mexico has chosen an Albuquerque Public Schools librarian as their new Chairwoman. Sara Attleson was elected Saturday to lead the state party for the next two years. She’s a teachers union fundraiser and received 39-percent of the vote during the Central Committee meeting in Albuquerque. Jessica Velasquez has been State Democratic Chair since 2022, but chose not to run for re-election.
