Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Intel announced Thursday they’re having another round of layoffs, but were short on details about how it will affect their Rio Rancho operations. The computer chip maker’s new CEO Lip-Bu Tan did not say how many more jobs would be lost, but a Bloomberg report suggests it will be 20-percent of Intel’s workforce. This follows a 15-percent reduction last year. The news came in an earnings call Thursday where Intel reported a better-than-expected first-quarter revenue of $12.7-Billion.
