Paid family and medical leave bill on the agenda

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A paid family and medical leave bill is set to be introduced in the Roundhouse this week, with Republicans coming out in opposition. House Minority Leader Gail Armstrong says her party is not against the concept, just what this particular bill would cost. Armstrong tells KKOB’s Morning Show with Bob Clark employees will have money taken out to help pay for the system. She noted other states have attempted this same system for family and medical leave, and the accounts have already gone bankrupt.
