Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The family killed in a weekend shooting just south of Belen have been identified. New Mexico State Police say 4 members of the Leyva family were found dead around 3:30 AM Saturday at their home on Camino Escondido. The parents are 42-year-old Leonardo Leyva and 35-year-old Adriana Bencomo. They were shot along with their sons, Adrian and Alexander Leyva, ages 17 and 14 When officers arrived, 16-year-old Diego Leyva surrendered and was taken to a detox center in extremely inebriated condition. Police say he called them to report he killed his family. Counselors were in the Belen School District today where the boys attended.
