Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Wednesday, Sept. 10th, 2025 is the premier date for the opening of the National Championship Air Races in Roswell. The Reno Air Racing Association chose Roswell as the new location of the event because the city’s Air Center can house all the planes competing in the races. It also has a course with the highest degree of safety, and the area is able to host a large number of fans, 60,000 to 70,000. An update is expected later this year announcing 2025 ticket sales for the Sept. 10th Sept. 14th event.
