Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The haze you see in the air may be with us for a while – the smoke is coming from a prescribed burn in the Jemez Mountains, about six miles west of Jemez Springs. Forest roads near the Rancho De Chaparral Girl Scout Camp will be closed for the next five days to make way for fire equipment and crews. Crews will continues ignitions thru Saturday. Expect some canyon winds later this afternoon which could help move the smoke out.
