A survey regarding body cameras

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The University of New Mexico says the Axon company will provide body cameras to about 48 officers as part of a five year contract. The university expects to have officers fully trained with the technology within the next three to six months. The school says it will be creating policies for the body cameras, based on student and community feedback. UNM is opening a survey to allow for feedback, that survey will be open until September 15th. The first year of the agreement will cost the school more than $340,000, and then will cost $279,000 annually for the remaining four years.
