Big turnout for Pride

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Thousands came out over the weekend to celebrate the annual Pride Parade in Albuquerque, regardless of the high temperatures. The theme this year was Gather, Dream, Amplify. ABQ Pride hosted a week of events. At the parade Saturday, a group of Palestine supporters showed up in Nob Hill, holding signs with the message, Free Palestine. A different individual with a mega-phone at the start of the route was blocked by rainbow clad goers, while he protested anti-gay rhetoric. The ABQ Pride Parade has grown into one of the largest in the metro. This year featuring 124 floats and the largest attendance in over two decades.
