Serious DWI crash

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — State police arrested a man for driving while intoxicated after a serious crash on I-40 east of Edgewood early Monday morning. Officers responded founding a Subaru and a Corvette were both found heavily damaged. The Corvette driver, 23-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez, took responsibility for the crash while showing signs of intoxication. According to New Mexico State Police, the passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. Both of the people inside the Subaru were hurt with minor injuries. Witnesses told police the Corvette was driving at a high rate of speed with no lights on. Gonzalez was arrested after he failed sobriety tests. He is charged with aggravated driving while under the influence.
