Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Residents of Rio Rancho have been waiting for this one — “The Block” will finally open for business this summer. The 18-hundred square foot venue, in the Enchanted Hills Shopping Center, has indoor and outdoor spaces for food vendors, retailers, a bar overlooking the Sandia Mountains and an outdoor stage. Most of the shops are in shipping containers. Groundbreaking was last November, and the original date to open was earlier this year. But construction delays have dragged things out – the venue is now slated to open in mid-to-late July.
