New Mexico middle class

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — How much do you need to make each year to be considered middle class in New Mexico? A new report from personal finance site “Smart Asset” says you need to make between more than 39-thousand a year to more than 119-thousand to be considered middle income. The state’s median income of $59-thousand dollars is what sets the boundary. New Mexico ranks in the study as one of the top 10-states with the lowest middle-class thresholds. It does depend on where in the state you live too. In Rio Rancho, for example, the range for middle class is between 57-thousand and 170-thousand.
