Valles Caldera fun

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Valles Caldera National Preserve is gearing up for summer by offering a range of outdoor activities for visitors. Sunday,from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will be Art in the Park Day. Throughout the Valle Grande, plein air painters will be working on landscape paintings. At 10:00 a.m., there will be a landscape photography workshop, a haiku poetry event at 11:00 a.m., and a ranger-led craft at 1:00 p.m. During the months of June, July, and August, the Preserve will also host several fly-fishing clinics. Those will be on June 1st, June 29th, July 20th, and August 17th. Pre-registration is required and will open several weeks ahead of each clinic. There will also be fly tying lessons on June 15th, July 13th, August 10th, and September 7th.
