Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — APD has reported the fourth significant copper theft reported in Albuquerqe in just over a month. The latest theft occurring at Southwest Labs. Brian Cavazos Galvez, director of Sales Analytics and Operations with the Labs says, surveillance video shows a thief pulling their power source off the outside wall accompanied by a storm of sparks. It knocked the power out at the lab and at least one of its neighbors in the industrial park near Jefferson and I-25. Galvez says, they actually didn’t get any copper, but they caused $120,000 worth of damage, and it definitely disrupted our lab operations.
