Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A relatively new compensation plan approved by the Santa Fe Governing Body in March has 700 city employees receiving 8% pay increases. The plan includes raises for Police, Fire, and other non-union workers. The city says ongoing there are ongoing negotiations with additional unionized employees. Mayor Alan Webber said the overall goal for the increased pay is to recruit and retain employees, adding, we want to be the employer of choice for everyone who wants to bring their skills and commitment to public service.
