Socorro, NM (KKOB) — New Mexico Tech will host a groundbreaking for the Kelly Building which is home to the Petroleum Recovery Research Center on April 10, in Socorro. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is among the VIPs invited to attend this milestone event for the construction, which is funded by GO Bonds in the amount of $3.3 million. The new building at New Mexico Tech’s main campus will replace the aging facility with modern laboratory space to aid in the Petroleum Recovery Research Center’s mission.
The ceremony is at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow. Parking is available on the south side of campus in the Fidel Center-Jones Building parking lot.
