Bernalillo County, NM (KKOB) — Treasurer Nancy Bearce recently participated in the annual conference hosted by the Global Council for Political Renewal (GCPR), a prestigious globally recognized organization dedicated to fostering cooperation among politicians at all levels of governance. The activities of the GCPR are focused on promoting ethics in politics, protecting human rights, striving for social, environmental, and economic justice and global peace, and advancing human development through research, education, and training.
“The conference provides a free exchange of thoughts in how our investments impact countries,” says Treasurer Bearce.
Bernalillo County’s investments follow state statutes for U.S. Treasury backed bonds called supranationals. BernCo’s supranational investments are limited in scope and promote ethical, human, and economic development in safe and liquid investments.
