Tax credits for solar power

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department approved over $430,000 in tax credits for 2024 so far, according to the department’s solar tax program dashboard. That leaves about $29.5 million for the rest of the tax year. Residences, businesses and agricultural enterprises can apply for the credit. It’s up to 10% of purchase and installation costs for qualified solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, at a maximum of $6,000.
