Isaiah Augustine Bob’s murder sentence is adjusted

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Thirty-nine year old Isaiah Augustine Bob, a member of the Navajo Nation, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the December 2020 murder of his friend identified only as “John Doe”. Doe invited Bob to stay at his home in Church Rock. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, following an argument that evening, Bob beat John Doe to death. In 2023, Bob pled guilty to second degree murder in Indian Country. At a recent sentencing, a federal judge adjusted Bob’s sentence upwards because John Doe was particularly vulnerable to the attack. Bob will serve 15 years in prison, and then five years of supervised release
