Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Andrew Lovato of Santa Fe served as the city historian in 2018, and will be taking on the role again this year. The ceremonial role is focused on engaging the community with cultural storytelling and is appointed by the mayor. Santa Fe Arts and Culture Director Chelsey Johnson said, Lovato is a natural storyteller, and brings a deep historical understanding of Santa Fe and its cultures, along with empathy and a bridge-building, collaborative approach.
