5th APD officer has resigned

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A fifth APD officer has resigned from the department during an on-going administrative investigation into allegations of wrong-doing by DWI officers. Joshua Montaño submitted his resignation Wednesday. He joined APD in January 2005 and served on the DWI Unit since 2015. APD launched the administrative investigation in January into allegations of wrong-doing by officers who currently work for, or who have worked for the DWI Unit in the past. Five officers were notified that they were targets of the investigation. The other officers who have resigned include, Justin Hunt, Honorio Alba, Harvey Johnson and Nelson Ortiz. APD say the investigation will continue.
