Sunport upgrade funding

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Albuquerque International Sunport applied for an FAA Build Infrastructure Legislation Airports Terminal Grant to design an outbound baggage system and support spaces to develop an inline system. The upgrade will be funded by the awarding of $5.8 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law President Joe Biden signed into law on Nov. 15th, 2021. The Sunport said the project should take around six to nine months to complete. It will receive the funding once it submits a finalized bid package and approved notice of award for a contractor.
