Calgon Corp. brings industry and jobs

The facility will build water purifying systems to will be shipped across the country. Calgon says it will use state-of-the-art equipment to fill huge containers built in New Mexico, with activated carbon. They pull out harmful PFAS chemicals, eventually leaving the clean water to filter through. The business is welcome news in the Four Corners area, after the closure of the San Juan Generating Station. The company plans to hire nine full-time employees in 2024, and 16 over the next several years.
