Chihuahua vs. Coyote

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Sara Heffern, of Rio Rancho says she’s very fortunate after a coyote attacked her chihuahua last month in her back yard. Fortunately a neighbor walking by at the time saw the coyote jump her fence, and was able to intercede in the attack. New Mexico Game and Fish reps say it is coyote mating season, and the winter weather is making coyotes hunt harder for food. Heffren adding, I thought my dog was gone. The screams I heard come out of him, I wouldn’t wish on any pet owner ever.
