Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Wendolyn Asbury appeared in an Albuquerque court Wednesday from his hospital bed, while he continues to recover from being wounded in a gunfight September 16th. According to the indictment, a car pulled up behind another in the parking lot of the Somerset Park Apartments near San Mateo and Gibson. Two men jumped out of the first vehicle and opened fire on the other, as occupants in the second responded with gunfire, hitting Asbury. He pled not guilty to charges including aggravated battery and shooting at or from a motor vehicle, both with a firearm enhancement. Once released from the hospital, he’ll serve pre-trial detention.
