Nunez and Vargas arrested

Last week agents the New Mexico State Police Crime Suppression Unit arrested 53 year old Valiente Nunez, and 30 year old Rose Vargas, both of Albuquerque.

Agents encountered Nunez and Vargas at 7901 Marquette NE, and peacefully took them into custody without incident.The pair were wanted by police in connection to an August 2023 officer-involved shooting involving the Albuquerque Police Department. Nunez and Vargas had active arrest warrants for Harboring and Aiding a Felon. The two were booked in the MDC on their outstanding arrest warrants.
