Bernalillo County, NM (KKOB) — The annual South Valley Pride Day Celebration will be held on Sunday, April 23, beginning with a parade at 11 a.m. followed by the fiesta activities from noon to 4 p.m. at Westside Community Center, 1250 Isleta Blvd. SW.
Bernalillo County is currently accepting nominations for the South Valley Pride Day Outstanding Citizens for 2023. This year’s event will again honor outstanding County Commission District 2 citizens for their volunteer work and contributions to improving the quality of life in Bernalillo County. Nominate a family member, friend, coach, teacher, church or community member that is deserving of this honor. Nominations for the South Valley Pride Day 2022 outstanding citizen awards are being accepted until Friday, March 31, by 4 p.m.
The county is also accepting applications for the South Valley Pride Day parade. Marching bands, cheer groups, dance groups, sports organizations, businesses, floats, horses and vehicles are all invited to be a part of this exciting community event. The deadline for parade entries is Monday, April 3 by 4 p.m.
Creative artisans and crafts people are also being sought to sell their handmade goods and pre-packaged foods and local produce vendors to sell their homegrown fruits and vegetables.
Food trucks and other food vendors are also needed to feed the crowd at this year’s South Valley Pride Day Celebration.
All food vendor and non-food vendor applications are due to the county by Friday, March 31 by 4 p.m.
