Adam Food Market responds

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The Adam Food Market on Central plans to challenge a lawsuit recently filed by the city. APD records show more than six homicides have occured at or near the property in the last two years — the city saying it’s become a crime magnet and that owners aren’t doing enough to curb the problem. Now, the market’s legal representation has filed a motion to dismiss the suit so it can say in business. Owners saying it’s not fair to be punished for operating in a part of town that’s more prone to crime and that closing the market down would create a food desert.
