Dangerous roads

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A new report from the Department of Transportation reveals that the roads in Bernalillo County are more than eight times more deadly than the national average. Local statistics validating that report. From 2016 to 2020, there have been five deadly crashes just at the Central and Wyoming intersection. The three-mile stretch of Central between San Mateo and Eubank, has had 29 pedestrians killed in five years. In response to the data, the Albuquerque Department of Municipal Development says that the city has tried to employ low-cost, high-impact solutions to make the streets safer, and they feel it is making a difference.
