State Fair dad to the rescue

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — A New Mexico dad helped detain a criminal at the State Fair over the weekend. Police say it all started when Mario Maestas tried to steal a purse and wallet from a family waiting in line for food on Saturday. According to a criminal complaint, Maestas hurt the people he tried to rob and trampled two kids in his attempt to get away. That’s when police say the kid’s father chased Maestas down and allegedly kicked him in the chest before police came and arrested him.
