APS Board approves 2022-2022 calendar

(Albuquerque, N.M.) KKOB — The Albuquerque Public School Board approved the 2022-2023 school year calendar on Thursday. Most APS students will start school  Wednesday, Aug. 10th. Schools on the extended school-year calendar will start two weeks earlier on Wednesday, July 27th. The only difference between the two calendars is the start date because the extended-year calendar provides an additional 10 days of instruction for students. All holidays and breaks are the same, as is the last day of school, which falls on May 25th, 2023. As of right now, APS has 20 elementary schools on the extended-year calendar: including Kirtland, Kit Carson, and Whittier. All other APS schools, including middle and high schools, are on a traditional calendar.
