National Beer Day

(Albuquerque, N.M.) – Get yourself a pint of the good stuff, it’s National Beer Day! The holiday is celebrated each year on April 7th. It’s the day President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Cullen-Harrison Act into law in the United States. The measure ended prohibition, meaning for the first time in more than a decade, Americans could step outside and enjoy a brew to celebrate. Upon signing the legislation, Roosevelt made his famous remark, “I think this would be a good time for a beer.” Breweries across the state are recognizing the day with special prices. Santa Fe Brewing and Rio Bravo are hosting happy hour prices all day.
