Nick & Jimmy’s Announces the Return of Free Meals for First Responders

(PRESS RELEASE)

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)–As part of his on-going effort to help his fellow New Mexicans, a dedicated restauranteur is once again providing entire meals to local first responders.

Nick Kapnison, proprietor of Nick & Jimmy’s Restaurant, is once again offering free to-go meals at his popular I-25 Corridor establishment. Employees of local police, fire, medical and other first responder businesses can now receive free meals.

“I think all of us have a responsibility to do whatever we can to help, especially in times like these,” said Kapnison. “This is one way me and my entire staff can give back to the community. For all that our first responders do for us, it’s a way to say ‘thank you’. I’m happy to be able to help.”

Special First Responder menus can be found on the Nick & Jimmy’s Facebook page and website (nickandjimmysrestaurant.com). Orders for curb-side pick-up can be placed by calling 505-344-9169.

Kapnison indicated that this program has an additional benefit. “Restaurants are being closed all over,” he said. “By providing these meals, we are able to keep our staff employed.”

As Kapnison looks forward to the day the I-25 & Jefferson location opens for indoor dining, he recently installed of a state-of-the-art CASPR air filtration system. “CASPR eliminates 99.96% of airborne pathogens, including Covid molecules which makes this place the safest restaurant in the state, maybe in the country,” he said. “We are working with Bill Baker at Virus Solutions & Eradication on installing systems in our other restaurants.” Kapnison also owns Kap’s Restaurant on Central and Mykonos Café / Meraki Coffee & Market in the Northeast Height
