More job losses for New Mexico

Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)–New Mexico’s job market continues to feel the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
The State Department of Workforce Solutions says more than 54,000 jobs were lost between October of 2019 and October of this year, a drop of 6.3 percent. The Leisure and hospitality sector continues to feel the brunt of the downturn, losing more than 20,000 jobs in the past year.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate actually fell from 9.9 percent in September to 8.1 percent last month
