New public health order goes into effect

Santa Fe, NM (KKOB)–Anew public health order, announced earlier this week by Governor Lujan Grisham, is now in effect. The stricter measures are being implemented as Covid-19 cases soar to new record levels in New Mexico.

Mass gatherings of more than five people are once again prohibited. The previous limit was ten. Restaurants that serve alcohol must close by 10:00 each night. Places of lodging are seeing their maximum capacity reduced. And people coming to New Mexico from high risk states are no longer exempt from the quarantine rules even if they test negative for Covid-19 within 72 hours of their arrival.
