Increased Testing of the Coronavirus

(Albuquerque)-The State Dept. of Health continues to ramp up testing for the coronavirus. Now, any worker in the state can get tested for free…even if they don’t have symptoms of the virus.

A drive-up clinic will be open at Lovelace Hospital in downtown Albuquerque from 9am to 3pm. The Health Dept.’s David Morgan says it’s important to test as many people as possible.  Morgan says they’ve tested over 100-thousand but there are two million people in the state, so there’s a lot more work to do.

The Health Department says anyone can get tested whether they have insurance or not…but if you do have insurance, be sure to bring your insurance card with you. There’s also a limit of two people per vehicle.
