(Albuquerque)-A public defender in Santa Fe has tested positive for the coronavirus…and that’s prompted the District Attorney’s office there to close temporarily. D-A Marco Serna tells the Santa Fe New Mexican that his office will be shut down until Monday to allow the county to apply disinfecting fog to the entire building.
Public defender Jennifer Burrill confirms that she’s the attorney who tested positive. She says she’s now self-isolating, including from family members. She tells the New Mexican she’s also working with the Dept. of Health to identify people she had recent contact with…including several judges and prosecutors.
