(Albuquerque)-New Mexico State Police say they’re working with local law enforcement agencies across the state to make sure the public and businesses are complying with the Governor’s emergency health order. The order requires that non-essential businesses shut down…and that gatherings of more than five people are prohibited.
Ray Wilson is a spokesman for State Police. He says they’re first step will be educating people on why they need to be separated, and the dangers they pose from being together. Wilson tells Newsradio KKOB that if a business is found to be non-compliant, it will be warned…and given a reasonable opportunity to adapt.
If you spot a violation, you can report it to state police either on-line or by phone.
