No Evictions for NM … For Now

(Albuquerque)-There will be no evictions in the city of Albuquerque during the coronavirus outbreak.  KOAT-TV reports it’s a temporary rule to keep people in their homes and socially distanced from others.

A credit line of up to 100-million dollars is now approved to help businesses with 50 or more workers on their payroll.  It allows businesses to meet payroll obligations and prevent layoffs.

If you need to get out of paying rent for now, you need to present evidence of your inability to pay to a judge.

State Supreme Court Chief Justice Judith Nakamura says the 100-million dollars is temporary relief to keep people in their homes.
