Attorney General Targets Gougers

(Albuquerque)-New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas says his office has sent out close to 100 cease and desist letters to businesses around the state for alleged coronavirus-related price-gouging.  He says these are businesses taking advantage of the market place instead of just trying to survive.

Balderas tells KOAT-TV that businesses shouldn’t be buying more products than they need from distributors…known as “overstocking.”  He says his office is also on the lookout for phone scams, charity scams and fake health services.
